AS Studio is just a development environment for creating AS front ends to other Applications. The only benefit I would see to making a special "AS" version of Valentina would be that you could create a faceless background application that would be scriptable just as VAPP is. This would mean that the user wouldn't see an application launch (except the AS Studia generated app). Currently, a user would see the AS Studio generated app launch, then see VAPP launch and all of the UI of VAPP is uselessly hanging around. By using a faceless background app, there would be no UI for the user to see - or for the user to mess something up with.
BTW, this would also mean that VAPP could really be JUST a faceless background app - the UI for VAPP could be an AS Studio application - simply an AS front end for the background app.
Of course, all this means that VAPP becomes closer to an AS SDK rather than an application, but is anyone really using VAPP as a standalone application except to initially set up tables or do browsing. I'm guessing that most users of VAPP don't use it as the main interface to their database.
