That's my point, if I understand you. This -61 error was thrown by Valentina as the result of VDatabase.SQLSelect .
The only idea I have is that the application was distributed on a read-only .dmg file. The user could mount the .dmg file and run the application from there.
I tried this out on my machine and got some strange behavior that I cannot reproduce, including cursor changes apparently not being saved to disk.
